Nothing in our life happens by accident, from ‘out of nowhere’ or without some sort of input from us. The Universe never creates a reality that is different from our most unconscious intention. No matter what is happening, we have set that energy in motion by a thought, word, action or belief. And everything we think, say and do has relevance. So why are we so surprised when something happens that we don’t expect? Although it appears to be a surprise, it is often the outcome we secretly wanted (but were afraid to speak out in favor of) or something we wish for but forgot that we asked.
In readings I hear from clients who are saddened by unexpected events, a relationship that has ended, a job loss, a betrayal by someone and yet in some way they have wanted things in this situation to change. Since we do not always follow through with our desires, we hope for change and then stand around and wait for something to happen. Of course we always want this to happen effortlessly and it does, yet the effortlessness means that the Universe acts on what we want and helps us create that outcome.
And we see our signs of success as a failure because they are challenging, take us out of our comfort zone and force us to act on what we want. So the job change we ask for begins with the end of the job we have. Maybe we don’t like our job, are dissatisfied and feel unfulfilled. But what we ask for is to have the circumstances of our current job change and that isn’t always possible. What we need is to find another job that is capable of meeting our needs. If the one we have can’t do that, we have to take its place.
This is true for everything in our life experience. As we ask for energy to shift, it does. But that starts with the shift in our own energy which generally means that we no longer fit in our current situation. The Universe doesn’t change the circumstances around us, it shows us where we need to change. And the earthquakes in our current reality are the responses to our shifting energy. These are our signs of success and rather than wonder what we did wrong, we need to look at what we are doing ‘right’ and rebuild over the earthquakes in ways that reflect our new energy.
